Basenji Breed Network Queensland and Australia (BBNA/Q) is raising funds to be transferred to a special bank account setup by the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) in Beligium for assistance to Ukrainian dog breeders and their dogs. This fund will be managed by the FCI and will be solely used for helping Ukraine dog breeders during these difficult times.

We have all seen the sad images from Ukraine with people fleeing to bordering countries carrying their dogs and cats. The mass exodus of people has created traffic jams kilometres long. Other people are walking with their animals to the various borders. We have also heard that some Basenji breeders in Europe are fostering Basenjis from Ukraine.

Being in Australia we are very limited in what we can do to help. We have been receiving queries from people asking is there anything we can do. While the primary focus of BBNA/Q is for the Basenji breed, we decided what we would do is reach out to help the canine community for all dog breeds in Ukraine by promoting the FCI fund and providing a convenient online donation process to collect funds for this cause.

Otherwise, you can donate below and your funds will be deposited into BBNQ’s bank account in Australia and we will distribute all funds received via a bank wire to the FCI account.
